Knowing what really triggers Sarah’s nervousness
The fact that she was experiencing early symptoms of Parkinson’s disease did not keep the 79-year-old Sarah from enjoying her painting. Unfortunately, her broken arm did. Last year her children installed the Sensara HomeCare system to keep an eye out for their mother living alone in her own house. Reassuring for both Sarah and her children, given the Parkinson condition. Less than a month later, Sarah tripped and fell so badly that she couldn’t move. Sensara HomeCare registered her fall and notified her son on his smartphone. Now after three months with a cast and physiotherapy Sarah is painting again, every day.
This system is brilliant. Wherever I am, I only have to check my phone and I know how she is doing. It gives me a big amount of comfort.
